The ECM in the Suzuki Swift GTi stores failure codes that can
been seen via the check engine light.

To see the codes do the following.
1. Turn ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Make sure the 'Check Engine' light lights up.
3. Start the engine up.
4. Then connect a spare fuse to diagnosis switch terminal.
5. Read the code and check with the chart below.
Note : To reset the ecm after you have corrected the problem,
simply disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 seconds and
reconnect it and warm up the engine and recheck the codes.
