1. What is a Swift GTi ?
It's a small 2 door performance hatchback made by Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan.

2. What years were available for the GTi ?.
The Swift GTi/GT was sold from 1989-1994 in North America.
In Europe and Asia from '89-'96 and in Australia from '89-'99.

3. What is the difference between a GTi and GT ?
Nothing. VW America sued Suzuki in 1989 since they felt the GTi name
was close to the Golf GTi, so Suzuki dropped the 'i' after '89 in North America.
Everywhere else however the car was still known as the Swift GTi.

4. Any different models during the GTi's production ?
The mk2 model was available from '89-'91. The mk3 model was
sold from '92-'99. Both however have the same chasis.

5. What are the differences between the mk2 and mk3 ?
Mk3's had a newer dash design, bigger rear sway bar (19mm vs 15mm),
different front & rear bumpers, different tailights, heavier doors, more
insulation, different ecm, minor changes to engine layout, solid cams (earlier cars
had the hollow lighter type), some markets got power windows and steering.

6. Which years perform best ?
1989 since they were the lightest of all the years. Although the differences
are minor.

7. How fast is a GTi ?
Standard GTi's run anywhere from 8.3-9.5 seconds in the 0-60mph dash depending on
launch, driver and model (mk2 or mk3). 1/4 Mile times are in the high 16's.

8. What is a Cultus GTi ?
It's the Swift GTi's name in Japan.

9. What type of Cultus models were available ?
The Cultus GTi and Cultus GTi AWD. Both of them were only sold in Japan

10. What is different between a Cultus GTi and Swift GTi ?
115hp standard vs 100hp. This is because the cultus uses
higher lift cams, different injectors, 11:1 CR, 4-1 header & a better intake manifold (hand made by Suzuki).
